Took the PA 17T out yesterday and went to Ray Hubbard with my wife, didn't do much fishing and almost had to tow in a stranded jet skier. We ended up doing almost 7 miles before we even knew it!! Needless to say, we were pretty tired after that trip. The kayak handled very well, even when the wind picked up and the waves started.

Today my wife, pooch and I headed out to white rock for a short cruise and do a little fishing. About 5 casts in I landed this little guy. Thought it was going to be a killer day, but that ended up being my only fish. I stood for most of my fishing and to say I felt stable was an understatement!

1 Bass on WRL is a killer day! lol -- I typically launch from that spot any rarely catch anything in that area... I might be doing it wrong though.

Really? Last time I went out I caught 4 along the opposite shore line. Here I thought I was doing it wrong!

Ya, my best luck at WRL is when I am able to go during the week. I get skunked more often than not on the weekends when the entire lake is lined with bank fisherman. lol

I fished White Rock this past Saturday for our BassGrabbers Teams tournament from the bank. Landed about 7 total bass including a 18.75" and a 19" on back to back casts on a spot near the dam. ITs got plenty of good fish in it! The 19" ended up winning me big bass as well. I love fishing White Rock lake! The scenery isnt bad too if you know what I mean! lol

I'm going to have to start following you around out there! Ya some of the scenery is nice, however, a few times ago I was out there on my bike and I saw a 300+ lb man wearing a skirt riding around on a pink girls bike. East Dallas is turning into Austin daily. lol

Nice ! I'm definitely not doing something right! Bass fishing is completely new to me, so I've got a long way to go! Any pointers?
