I'm going catfishin for the first time on lake granbury today. I usually fish for bass, sand bass as striper but my friend is in town from Oklahoma and wants to go. Any tips on what to use for bait? Where to fish? And I have one trot line I made yesterday. Where should I set the trot line? Thanks y'all!

I'd set the line in less than 14 f.o.w. and bait with shad or perch
Good luck!

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
