did these yesterday. had a new bronze and a new turquoise color i wanted to try so i figured why not use them together. did a 2.5 and a 1.5 in that scheme. then i had gotten some reptile eyes that i had to try so i did the camo frog with the new wake bait i got from wlure. i also used the liquid masking to do the spots on the frog and to protect the gills from overspray on the square bills. that stuff works great.

Perfect timimg....you answered the questions I just posted on another thread. Liking the color transition ...just the right color depth from from back to sides. Frog spots are right on. Doesn't wLure have a frog shaped blank? Put your technique on a frog blank and its gonna look like a real one. Lots of color options there....bet you could sell a bunch of those. Lookin good thumb

thanks bois. wlure has a zillion blanks including frogs. i got 5 of the wakes to check the quality. it seems good. the pricing is outstanding. the wakes were $1.10 in that quantity. cheaper if you get more. all the blanks are priced on a sliding scale with discounts for volume. they have some things on special for $0.60-0.70 regardless of quantity. right now he has abunch of stuff that's out of stock. i think people are becoming aware of wlure and are buying in bulk to resell. coming from china they take a little while to get here.
i'm going to order a cross-section of blanks to make sure the quality holds up across the entire product line.

I also love the turquoise. All my hard baits that I throw now has the predominate turquoise stripe on the side. Big bass love it on my spooks.

Last year I netted some Threadfin shad and took a good long look at them under bright sunlight. They seemed to have a turquoise tint to them when held as various angles to the light. Afterward I started using a turquoise color to give that same effect to a few of my test cranks. Fished the same lure, side by side, one crank with and one without the turquoise shade. The turquoise shade produced better fish.....just sayin'.

close but not quite. folkart metallic solid bronze. the antique stuff dulls the color a little and i wanted something bright.

The wake bait only dives about 3 inches I don't think that need a crazy paint job, I do like the simple pearl white. Might look like a mouse or shad to the fish.

white feather treble on the back of the wake bait will be a killer on sunny days. Scary thing about the second one is, can't make my mind up about it but just like the colors. We all know, SOMETIMES it is the strange bait that they have not seen before that is what is working that day when nothing else will. Nice work BC
