No question is a dumb question right? So can you put a tiny spit shot on a wacky rig, either the line or perhaps the stem of the hook? Yes I know about weighted hooks! If that's the craziest thing you have heard of, sorry!
Thanks for input!

Yes, and you can drag a wacky rigged worm like a crig with split shot a foot up from the hook; but that never works.

In my experience the best option is to get some pieces of coat hanger and if bigger is need even some pieces of nails. Shove it in one of both ends of you wacky worm depending on how much you want or how fast you want it to fall

Finishing nails work great for this! Lots easier than clipping coat hangers, too - they're already sharpened, and you can get them in any size you want. When I use them, I always put one into each end of the worm.....and it's almost always a 5" Senko.

There's your answer. Sure you could do that, but a nail in the end of the worm makes it killer. Or. . .you can try the bungee jumper rig.

hey Smurfs.........
you can do just exactly what you described.
Use what is called a "clam shot". I can only find them at BPS. Academy & Wal-Mart do not carry.
you can get them in a lot of various sizes. I have 3 sizes depending on how fast I want the wacky rigged Senko to drop. the clam shot is long and slender and not round therefore I think it slips thru the grass easier and doesn't pick up as much junk. I position the clam shot just above the hook knot and crimp it down. I have not had any line or hook up issues at all. this way both ends of the Senko are flopping around and it doesn't look like a traditional T-Rigged worm with one end down due to the nail weight.
I get a lot of action with this set up. Try it.
it works real good for me in the grass beds on Athens.

Water Gremlin makes a split bullet weight they call a "bull shot"
Comes in sizes down to 1/16 oz.
Won't snag in moss and pick up slime like removable split shots.

Try these. There's a few different brands you can buy. But it does make for a pricier rig. It adds enough weight to help it fall and has a pretty cool action on the way down. Works well for me.

^^^^^^^^^When you have made that $10 senko rig, it is a sure sign of bass fishing addiction. BTW, you forgot the o rings and the worm rattle smile

More than an addiction lol. This was just a picture I took for some fishing buddies to show them what I was talking about. But last month I was throwing this with the o rings on it and two different times I got such an aggressive bite that it pulled the whole rig out of the o ring. Must have just bit the end and ran with it.

I've always used split shot on my wacky rig hooks if I wanted more fall rate.....simple, cheap, easy to adjust

I started using wacky jig heads. I have them up to 1/4 oz heavy enough to throw them on my worm setup
