I have been using garlic and shad spray on my soft plastics for awhile now. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with coffee scent, may have been out for years, but I just became aware of it. Is it worth it?
Thanks for the Input!

Any of the scents do a great job masking the human odor and that is a big plus. All fresh water species like the natural scents best; shad, minnow, night crawler and crayfish. If you want to see a difference in catching use the pure extract.

This is just an observation, but I think that up North they use coffee scents for smallies on tubes mainly. I could be way off, but this is what I think of when coffee scents are used.

i was flipping a jig for bass yesterday and even found some on beds and couldnt get them to bite. I decided to dip my watermelon candy brush hog trailer in some garlic scented chartreuse dip dye and after that it was game on.

I use the garlic chartreuse dip sometimes and it seems to have some effect. It may be the chartreuse tho, I dunno. Usually when I resort to that times are pretty tough lol. I'll put it on a wacky worm or the tips of a beaver. I did read an article that said bass couldn't taste or smell those scents but that could be a load of [censored].

Last year I started using the natural bait extract from Donald Harper. I got the minnow and night crawler, I can tell you I do get more bites, now, is that due to the scent or luck, I dunno. But I'm going to keep using it, I didn't know he made it in crayfish and shad, guess I'll need those also haha! I haven't had much luck with the coffee scent, so I don't throw them much, I do use Spike it chart dip and like it.

I was just saying the the shad and crayfish are also natural to the Bass and a good choice. My biotech does not make it for me; but there are a few extracts out there in those two. He assures me they come to Minnow and Night Crawler faster and strike the chum bags more often than all the others with Crayfish being third in line.
