Launched at Caney Creek. I could not believe how high the water is! Normally, I have to back way down the ramp, but now, I had to park the car in the road, as the whole ramp is under water. High water is nice but those big ole weeds that grew up last year are hard to fish in.

Caught 7 small stripers and some throwback sand bass. All the stripers were young males. I kept the three in the picture below that ranged from 16-21 inches. Lots of folks camping. All had been catching a few small stripers. From what I'm seeing they are biting if you can find them. Lots of top water action going on with little 12 inch fish.

I also caught two catfish. I hung up on a shoal and went back to retrieve my lure. When I pulled it free, I had a big fish. Turns out it was two blue cats that were on a jug line that I had got caught up in. I released them.

I have to say Texoma has not been too nice to me this year. High water has all the big stripers off making little stripers (off somewhere I'm not fishing for sure). The crappie seem to be gone. I've only caught a couple. Maybe it will get better.

Pk has been strange this year too. Lots of water coming in and the lake is murky. The huge sand bass schools I'm accustomed to are gone, replaced by schools of small stripers. PK is going back to what it was before the Golden Algae, a striper lake.

I'm sure looking forward to reports by non guides that they are sacking them up. I haven't seen them. Even the guide reports are kinda skinny.

It's high to me Tim. I've only fished Texoma since 2012.

Great report Mike. It's great to see the water level at the top of the ramp rather then at the bottom. thumb

Few fish is right. Fishing is tough for me right now. I'm at PK now and fishing is tough here. I think we got enough rain that the stripers went up river. Lots of 8 inch sandies but that's it. The water is murky at the dam and I can only guess how cloudy it is up lake. I did finally catch a PK crappie so the murky water is good for something.

As for Texoma, I think June will be the new May. One of these days all those fish are going to come back from the Washita and Red and want to eat something.
