Had a great day on Palestine yesterday. Went looking for bass but after catching two crappie right off the bat I just went with the flow. Caught them in 2 to 4 feet of water just quietly easing a roadrunner down in the cattails. The fish were slamming it. Caught a few on big spinner baits too. Color didn't seem to matter much but caught most on rootbeer/chartruse tail in the stained water. Ended up with 13 crappie, all keepers. The only bad part of the day was the mile long paddle pulling the stringer.

Nice job and great photos as usual. Met you at the boat ramp there last year. Heck I live on the lake and didn't know they were still shallow. Thanks for the post. thumb
