I've never fished it. I just looked at water data for Texas and it shows to be about fifteen feet low. I'm not sure if people can launch or not.

I haven't seen that lake at pool in I couldn't tell you how long. It's been low for years!

Water Data still shows it 15' low.

Gotta say when its on, that is one of the best crappie lakes I have ever seen in the country. Some of the biggest fish I have ever seen come out of the water. If you can call that red dirt slurry water...

There is an ole boy who fishes the West Texas lakes weekly and he ain't ever caught one that big, looks like he needs to get on the stick and get after them.

Thanks for the report. banana

That boy is too busy running his mouth to catch any fish....the lake shows to be 14.8 ft low, only 28% full.

I've fished it several times in the last 2 years, but not this year. Not a lot of structure esp with it this low. I've caught a few 1 3/4 to 2 lb fish but most of the crappie I've caught were of the 10 1/2 to 11" variety. Blue cats kept tearing up my rig last year. Always heard about the 3lb crappie in there, just never seen anything much over 2.

Anyone fish the barge they have there lately. Really nice people who operated the place.

I have fished this lake many times over the past serveral years. I hunt right down the road from there. We used to stay at the cabins down by the barge. Jim and Sherry are the people who run it. Very nice people but I would think with the lake so low that the barge is sitting on land. I haven't been there in a while though.

I never did much good but I was never there during prime time either. It is one of the ugliest water lake I have ever seen.
