Was wanting to go out to Todd's dump/gas wells this weekend. Do y'all think it's too early in the season yet? Just got a boat and was wanting to put my wife on some fish.

Some guides around here are targeting the wells looking for better salinity.

I am finding good trout actin in areas where there is a good flush of tidal influence coupled with the fresh water runoff, which produces higher oxygen levels in the SaltH20 - areas with structure and higher oxygen levels have definitely been producing quality trout.

thanks, that brings a couple of spots to mind.
I was thinking more about the air temps than water salinity. I tried drifting some pylons yesterday around clear lake, and found out I REALLY need a bow mounted, foot operated trolling motor. It's my first fiberglass boat so I'm in the learning process of boat fishing.

You never want a foot pedal troll motor in saltwater, they don't live long.

The guides run wireless units, the cable steer pedals just get cancer and are gonners way before their time.
