Went out fishing at Bethany Lakes in Allen Thursday night and had great results. Started off catching two skinny bass on Baby Brush Hogs. When the bass stopped biting I switched to fishing for sunfish and quickly caught three small bluegill. As it was getting close to sunset I was ready to switch back to bassing but wanted to catch one more sunfish. I am glad I did because I got this huge, 13.4 ounce green sunfish that must have been ready to spawn because it had a huge, thick belly. All the sunfish were caught on Crappie Nibbles. I finished the trip with one more bass on a Baby Brush Hog but that was just the icing on the cake because the trip was made when the green sunfish took the bobber under. Here is the video and a picture of my new personal best sunfish. I didn't get any photos of the bluegill.
