This is my first time too.... Sorry to hijack the thread but for you guys that have been a few times is it better to fish alone or with a buddy? Looks like you have a better shot at catching a big one alone but how bad is the pain of loading and unloading through out he day? Seems like a buddy would come in handy

Cephusjoe, There's 2 ways to think about fishing solo or with a partner: 1. If solo and you catch a 10lber, can you land that big of fish by yourself? Especially one that could win you a $70,000 FX 20 Skeeter. Having a good net man would increase those odds. 2. On the other hand fishing solo, you decide when and where you fish. No partner to split any winnings or have to worry about "front ending". The ramps will be extra crowded. If you're solo and can do it quickly it's manageable. Here's a pic of the 515 west ramp during MegaBass Tx from a few years ago. The picture is pretty indicative of what each of the major creeks will look like too during the tournament. ( mustang, little mustang, SRA, caney, Chaney, dale, birch, glade, etc... )

I went last year a did the boat ride..What we put that boat through was insane definitely made me want a SKEETER even moreI may make the run down to Fork and bring some cash for some tackle while I am there. I need a couple of medium action rods with reels and some lures as well...

Where can you get a paper entry blank? I can't find one on the internet to print.

cephusjoe you don't really need to load and unload all day long. Just run your boat into Lake Fork Marina and bank it each time you bring in a fish.
Old Man Skeeter when you get to the marina to sign up and pay your money there will be many places to sit and fill out your form. And the lines will be long no matter what time you get there so be patient.

Thanks guys.... Bruce thanks I thought every time I needed to weight a fish I had to trailer the boat. So the bank at lake fork marina is good to beach?

You can beach at the marina , no problem. Stop by the Costa booth and say hello, I will be there all 3 days.

Is there any boat length restrictions, or motor size restrictions?

Have a little battery powered radio. Local station broadcast the start of the tourney and the hourly weigh in.
