ok just want some input on a good frog Reel.
I know the Shimano's are on sale and they have the 7:1:1 and 7:2:1 what is the difference and which one would be a better fit.

Thanks

I use Revo STX for my frog reel in a 7.1:1. I love my Shimano reels but I think my STX handles the vegetation better. This is just my opinion with my equipment. I think either would work well. Which ever way or brand you go I would say pay a little more and get the better built models because froggin can be brutal on reels.

I have a 8:1:1 daiwa tatula and a 7:3:1 daiwa tatula and a curado 200e7 all have been good for frogs but only the curado has been tested in extremely heavy pads and grass where as the other two have been light cover

Fast is better 7.2:1.. Not much difference between the two one is just slightly faster.. My frog setup is the curado e7
