Going to Texoma tomorrow and just wondering if anyone has seen shad spawning up shallow yet at Texoma, or any other lake in North Texas.

Gizzards are done up there if last weekend is any indication. they were EVERYWHERE on the banks the past 2 weeks, then sunday- gone.
Pretty sure the Threadfin run on L-ville is probably over, as well.
it normally happens on the full moon in april (4/18 this year)

well they were gone last weekend from our area after spawning there for more than 2 weeks straight, so I assumed it was most likely over.
good to know thumb

On average the first and second weeks of May is when the highest percentage of shad are spawning.
