Anyone know of anyone that works on live-wells in North Fort Worth? My starboard side is having issues. I hear the pump running but nothing happening. I don;t know if it's the switch, fuse or something else. It is a 2007 Triton 20-X2. Thanks for the help.

Pretty simple system. If you hear an electrical hum (motor running), I doubt it is the switch. If you can't get to the individual aerator, run your garden hose into the output in your live well and flush it backwards. Then remove the screen near the boat drain plug and run the hose in there for a few minutes. Maybe it will wash out the clog. Otherwise make sure your hose fitting are good. Finally, get on your belly and pull the aerator if need be. Many are cartridge types and are super easy to work on. It is likely a 50 cent fix that a dealer will charge you $100 for and keep your boat for a week.

Lately the only way I have been able to get one of my wells to fill is to turn on the aerator, but my big motor in reverse, and force some water into it. After a couple of seconds the flow of water starts and it works the rest of the day. Ideas?

If you hear it then the electrical is fine. Nothing coming out it's the pump. You have to remove the cartridge and see if anything is wrong with the impellar. Fill your live well with a hose see if the water drains like it's supposed to.

Sounds like to me that impellar is loose from the motor. I have heard of some folks fixing it with super glue.

Some time they just loose the prime. Turn the pump on and back up the boat for several feet. I bet you it will start filling the livewell.

Most of those pumps are just magnetic coils with an impeller inside the spins. They can become "locked up" if they don't get he right water on them for a while. Try doing what he suggested and also try taking a garden hose and forcing water back down to the pump from your outlet in the live well. If that doesn't work then you probably just need a new pump or maybe just a new impeller.
