With all the newly flooded weeds what do you do the best with. Seems like the mouse would slither trough the vegetation better. Single tail has less tangles............... Just thinkin. Maybe trim the whiskers?

Always have a spinner bait tied on and work the outer edges which will be their ambush point and escape route to deeper water. Fish it just under the surface so you can watch the bass take the bait. Once you locate or get some flashes but no takers then slow down with your frog and senko.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

i would try the mouse, it may just be different enough to bring in a strike. I also like to throw a punkin seed salamander. The salamander is the sworn enemy of the bedding bass, and the punkin seed flashes like baby carp. Good luck

I have no experience with a mouse, but would definitely try a hollow belly frog. Also, on newly flooded weeds, a slow sinking bait like a weightless senko, tube, or fluke can be very good.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

I have not seen many if any mice near the water. See a ton of frogs though. I will keep playing the odds I guess.

I have a buddy that would catch fish on the mouse in open water on Ray Hubbard. I wouldn't dismiss it, because fish do see a lot of frogs and it looks a lot different in the water.

I love the Spro junior popper. It is my favorite.

I have tied lots of flies with single tails and ones with split tails, like legs. The frog type patterns with split tails have always worked much better than a mouse type pattern for me.
