I have a question for any Granbury long-timers out there...

My grandparents lived in Oak Trail Shores from the early 80's through about 2003... When I was a kid we used to fish from the coves and sloughs back up in that area of the lake. I know the level has not been stable up there in a long time, but the last time I went up there, I couldn't recognize anything. I clearly remember some decent homes and docks way back in Stroud's creek past the Thorp Springs 'boat ramp'. When did the area go completely 'ghost town', and all of the homes/docks disappear?

Are docks and houses actually gone or does it just look different to you? Been 5-6 years since I've been able to put in at the Thorp Springs ramp. For the last couple years there has not even been water anywhere close to the ramp. It looks completely different because of all forest that has grown up where there was once water(AKA:"constant level lake"). Have not been over to look in the last few weeks but I bet there a little water in the area right now but the lake needs to basically be full for this shallow area and ramp to be usable. Thats a senario that will probably never consistantly be reliable again due to BRA's "change in policies".

They may have just collapsed, or became dilapidated... Looking at the lake level history, the water was almost always in 'flood stage', unless BRA adjusted the Conservation Pool after the fact...
