All,
I'm intrigued by the smartstrike (takes water temp, air temp, time of day, and topography and suggests places on the lake to fish based on the chosen species)option that Humminbird is presenting as new technology. I'm not a huge fan of Humminbird and prefer to buy a Lowrance Sonar Unit. Does anybody have any comments on how accurate or useful the smartstrike system has been for them, and if it was worth buying a Humminbird over a Lowrance?
Thanks

It's a cute feature but it does not know where the fish truly are. It just gives you an idea on the types of places that the fish might be at. Read any pro's logs for seasonal patterns and you will have the same thing.
I guess I will add in the comment that if it worked the Hbird guys would be dominating the tournament circuit, they have not though.
