Going to fish Rayburn this weekend for the first time in probably 5 or 6 years. Was hoping someone whose fished it lately could let me know how it's looking. I'd imagine most fish are in the post spawn now? Going to have my little brother with me so I'm hoping to put him on some kind of moving bait pattern. Not looking for any locations, just hoping someone could point me in the right direction as far as What depth they've been catching them in on the south end of the lake, anything will be appreciated.

Also, if anyone could point me toward a website with fishing reports from rayburn that would be great. I've searched and all I could find was the tpwd report.

Senkos and haygrass and bushes Appreciate it, I've hear they're in the bushes, is that because of the rising water?

Typical Rayburn but the water is 4ft over pool which puts 6-8ft in most bushes and trees

Its coming up again. It was came up a few weeks ago and was starting to go back down but the rain last weekend/week has it coming back up. Like said above, the fish are in the bushes, and behind the bushes lol.

The water was about 2 and a half foot high sunday. It didn't matter tho its may fly time so throw under willow trees you may have to try a few different baits but a ribbet, spinnerbait, pop r, they'll hit something and you can catch some good fish. Good luck

Good luck Yeah, that lake can fluctuate like crazy. It's amazing how it can be at one level then 2-3 days later it pops up to almost 4 1/2 feet high. Must be cuz it has 2 rivers flowing in and only one river flowing out.

2.5ft high would make it 166.9. But you have to factor in full moon and tidal swing...

Target the flooded bushes with hay grass that make points and closer to deeper water. Throw a swim jig around them. If the wind is blowing you can catch em grass points & flats with a swim jig or chatterbait
