man im glad to see the lake fill back up but it sure shuts down the bite...only 2.5'to normal pool! every time it rains big it just shuts them down for 5 days!

I haven't fished since Friday afternoon when all I caught was dinks, lots of dinks. The closest to legal I caught was about 9". Glad the water is up!

The lake looks awesome! Drove by Katie's Woods ramp today and it's still closed. It must need some repairs or something. You can launch at that ramp when the lake is 8 feet low. Wonder what needs to be done with it?

Lewisville is no different. There has not been a good bite in my marina one time this year. Right now I just spend my time catfishing and hunting carp/buffalo. Lewisville is now above pool. Water is now starting to cover one of the roads in the marina.

only 1.95 ' low! thats good but wish the water would clear up so they would bite again.

It appears that we may have gotten GV filled back up at the expense of the Spring spawn. Perhaps it will pick back up again, but from a shallow, bank fishing perspective, there really hasn't been much of a spawn this year. Maybe the crappie can wait three weeks, and maybe they won't. I guess time will tell.

I have caught spawning crappie at Lake arrowhead the first week of June, I bet as soon as the water settles it will be game on.
