I've always used a palomar knot. People talk about having issues with the knot slipping but I've never had that problem.

I use a plain Palomar as well (only thing I use it on is braid) and never had it slip or break on me.

Cool... I tie a different version of the SD Jam Knot! Instead of going through to loop above the line tie I go through the line tie so I go through the line tie twice! Since its it clinch knot would that work for braid to?

This^^ Just don't cut the tag end too short and you should not have a problem and make sure it's a closed eye hook.

Uni knot or San Diego Jam is the way to go.

I rarely use straight braid but when I do I use a palomar, you can tie an overhand knot before cutting tag end if you are worried about slipping.

Braid will slip through the slot in the eyelit. You will get the knot back with not hook or fish. They hold fine for palomar, just make sure the eye of the hook is flush.

And if it isn't... Which knot to you recommend?

I use an improved clinch knot and burn the tag end down. Never slips and seems to be a strong enough knot for my use.

Big Baits! Thick Lines! Equals Heavy Weights!
