Thats like asking what cranking rod do you prefer. It really depends on the individual and type of frog fishing. 7'3 is probably best all around length

Thats like asking what cranking rod do you prefer. It really depends on the individual and type of frog fishing. 7'3 is probably best all around length So you use different length rods depending on what frog you are throwing? Can you explain with details? All the hollow bodied frogs I throw are very similar in size and weight as are the solid bodied frogs with the kicker legs. The crank baits that I throw vary in size quite a bit from a 1.5 square bill to a 10XD. The rod I use for the 1.5 would never be able to handle a 10XD. I didn't realize it varies that much throwing a top water frog.

Preference is all it is. I use a 7'3" majority of the time. I can throw it all day long without ever getting fatigued. A 7'6" or bigger wears on me after several hours. With a 7'3 I can fish pads, grass, open water, bushes and skip under docks or trees. I can usually bump up to a 7'6" or 8' when throwing way up behind reeds or bushes and need the extra leverage. Fish what you're comfortable with and won't get you fatigued.

If I don't, Im sure you can sell it since it is the "only" rod that will work to catch fish on a frog.
