Sand Bass point ramp was opened over the weekend. Katie's Woods is opening this afternoon as soon as they check to make sure its clear.

Good stuff...at the current level of less than 2' low all ramps should be opening if not already.

Katie's Woods closed too early and is opening too late because someone with the biggest darn pontoon I have ever seen pulled his axle out on the ramp. I remember it quite well. He backed the boat down with a big 4 wheel drive 3/4 ton diesel truck. Dropped the back axle off the ramp. I advised him to pull the boat off...then pull the trailer back on the ramp. He told me he had a big truck and didn't need my input. You can use your imagination for the rest of the story.

Drove down to KW before servicing the Gaylord and it was closed! But I was there at about 8:25am! They will need to pull the dock up the walkway ramp but don't see why it wouldn't be open!

The May 9th rescheduled Open will launch from Katie's Woods if it opens!

what is the status of dove ramp any use?

Dove Loop has been open for a while, I've been fishing Grapevine every week since early March and it's been open the whole time. McPherson Slough ramp has been open the same amount of time.

Presuming KW doesn't open soon, what's the best ramp to use for a 21' bass boat w/o having to back your truck halfway into the water? Preferably on the Grapevine side of the lake.

Not sure what the hold up is - when I asked the guy checking the pay stations he said a crew was on the way to open it but the ramp is still locked today. they had pulled the dock up though.

Double A..I have been using McPherson without any issues, plus you can catch some bass right there in that flooded grass.

Just got a text from a buddy who is tied with Park and Rec and Katie's Woods is now Open! I'll be there in the morning to use it and give a report but should be good!
