This little guy was caught in a cast net in benbrook yesterday. I don't know what it is and can't find any thing that looks like it. This picture isn't great, but it was very long for its size, had vertical stripes and a triangle dorsal fin. Any ideas?

Awesome, thanks. I thought it looked awfully like a jerk bait, i may try one similar to that color.

Pretty little thing. I've caught fish half that size on hook & line...

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Percina caprodes (little pignose). The name "Logperch" refers to the log like shape of its body. Logperch are common in north eastern area lakes, streams, and rivers. They are most often in waters that are clear, slow to medium moving, and have bottoms of sand, gravel, and boulders. However, they also live in some turbid rivers like the Mississippi. They are often found with other species of darters. Many reach 4-5" in length and usually 5-7 oz. They can live to a maximum of 4 years.
