Do any of you bank fishermen have an recent experience fishing the 276 or the 751 bridges on Tawakoni after dark? My car is not running and I can borrow the daughter's car at night. I keep hearing wild tales about the meth heads that gather after the sun goes down, and other tales about the hooligans that will try to rob a man fishing alone. I don't have anyone to fish with and just wondering if it was safe or not.

If you don't feel safe don't go by yourself. Lots of crazy meth heads was told. I Leave the lake as soon as the sun goes down. That is just me. We FFishermen are broke any way. Good luck

You can fish early morning, and catch the fish.

Nobody would make up crazy stories to keep people away from their favorite spot, would they? Seriously though, I would treat any place on North Texas lakes the same. Be careful out there, and consider not going alone at night!

Pack a pistol, that's what I do. Ive never had any problems but it only takes that one time..I always carry for that one time reason. I was a police officer for too long.I have my real badge that says retired- but I don't take chances.

N side of 2 mile bridge is family friendly fishing spots when weather warm up, construction might mess up fishing a bit, anglers of all ages used to line up the shores at dusk to about 10 pm also. There is a small community of a few houses there, the old folks some come out and chat with you. Good people.
Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

I fish alone at night at least 30 times a year and have never had a problem. But as mentioned before it only takes once.
Bring a dog, that's enough to keep most people away lol

Drive over to Fork and fish the 515. It's awesome. I usually go with my buddy Clarence. Most folks probably don't want to mess with him. I worry a lot more about my parked truck than I do myself fishing at night.
