I fished lead un painted weights for years and they worked fine. Now I fish on game days with painted tungsten weight. Does it make a difference? And what color works best for you ?

i haven't noticed a difference in color at all as far as # of bites, but I have noticed that the tungsten weights are more sensitive to the bottom. I can feel the bottom better.

Once went to a B.A.S.S. seminar and each pro said they didn't care what color weight you use as long as it's BLACK. For what it's worth!

We use the unpainted weights in Mexico. Bass like the shinny weight. We will catch 1/3 more bass in a day when using the unpainted weights. I want throw a painted weight. It is just hard to tell now many more you can catch in our lakes because you are only hoping for 5 bites to begin with.
Mexico is a wonder place to test anything because of the 100 bass per day catches. It just doesn't take log to find out what works and what doesn't.

I had to change one of my customers T-Rigs out this last trip because he was using a Green Pumpkin weight and just wasn't getting the bites the rest of us were. He was fishing the front of the boat so after the change it didn't take him long to catch up.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.
