The wife and I are going to spend a few days at LOP next week. Anyone have any recent reports they would be willing to share? Thanks for any help.

I was out fishing mid lake around any stumps I saw Sunday afternoon. Just got a few small bass. Water is about 3 ft high. Good luck.

Not much help here. I caught a aeveral in 3 FOW of water all on a submerged log 2 weeks ago. Couldn't duplicate that for nothing. Seen a guy catch several in about 30 minutes in 10 FOW. Not sure if he was on a pile or not.

As said water 3 ft over normal, friends caught crappie (few). 3-10 ft deep water close bank. Cats should be in new grass close bank or off river channel 25 -30 ft on cat fish Charlie . There big bass tourney this weekend so not much telling where fish be. Good luck.

Was there this weekend we did real well on catfish shallow on cut perch and shad caught a dozen crappie around shallow cover using minnows under a slip float. Most of the crappie we did catch were jumbo size this is a pic of a 16" please excuse the diaper. Lol.

Thanks for the info everyone. I didn't even think about the KYKX bass tourney this weekend but we're going to try it anyway.

If ya gonna fish this weekend get there before 4am or after 7, the ramps will be full, no place to park. I know from experience. We have place in the Copeland creek area, its fun to watch the ramp Friday afternoon late, lots fun watching those that have trouble backing trailer or forget put plug in, or unhook front hook. They will start Saturday morning 3 am or maybe earlier. Same way loading in afternoon, very hectic. good luck

Cooltex- Curious to know what depth you located your catfish. Obviously my advice of 12-15 feet must've been out of date. Thinking of going Friday.
