I'm happy with my first attempt, need a little adjusting on the colors.

I'll give a step by step

Sterling silver metallic base

50/50 mix of pavement grey and pearl platinum scale mask

Iridescent purple tail and eye shading

i might give that one a try but use silver leaf as the base. it could add a cool effect or be a disaster.

That was another idea I had, o ly problem was I didn't have the time or silver leaf. I bet this thing will grab some attention when it swims by them though with all the metallic and iridescent colors. Now I just need to find some fish out that deep.

Bcd I would like to see your version In a leafed blank you better get to work lol

I thought about doing the shad dot and a sexy stripe, but I decided against it just might have ended up doing too much.

i agree...would have been overkill. i'll try one tomorrow with the leaf and see what happens.

I don't think anything will beat a turquoise sexy stripe on the side. Try one with a little wider sexy stripe and leave off the green blow on the side. Just saying, you know that is my favorite especially on a spook. When that bait is popping the wiggle the stripe flashes a image that the big fish can't resist.

Man I haven't caught anything on it yet, they are not out that deep on the lake I fish yet, but I can't wait to see what happens when they move out there. It will hit bottom on a long cast with 12lb big game at about 13-15ft if I dropped to 10lb floro I imagine I could get it to 15-18ft. It has a very wide wobble and runs true. I have been very pleased with this blank so far. I get these from brian at dinger baits. He is a great guy to buy from.
