Well drove 1hr to cedar creek yesterday, third cast in with a rattle trap and landed a good little 2lber and while I was trying to get the treble hook out fished slipped out of hand and dug a triple grip into my finger down to the bone. This was the first time this has happen to me in 25yrs of fishing ( knock on wood) so I panicked and cut the hook to short to try the string trick and when the hook hit my bone it actually straighten it out a little and I could get it to pop thru the other side myself. So we packed up 15 min into the trip and hit the er on the way home.

Those treble hooks are good, And bad!
I myself, knock on wood, have never had one buried in my hand.
Had a nice size trotline hook in side on my leg though, those not very pleasent either

I'm hoping they did a local before doing that,..I know from experience that hurts more than anything I can ever remember, I had to punch one through the skin once and have my wife cut the barb end off out on the lake one evening. glad you ok..

HOLY GUACAMOLE! It hurts me just watching that. I dread the day this happens to me. It hasn't yet but as much as I like to throw big crank baits I feel like my time is coming

Had the same thing happen a couple of years ago. ER taught me a trick. Now I carry lidocaine and a needle in the boat at all time.
