Did anyone know what happen to the two guys that was in a ranger on Lake Texoma this past weekend that hit a big roller wave running wide open? It looked bad.

Guys need to figure out that you do not need to run wide open every time you move.

Skipping the top of all the waves is not the smoothest way to navigate. Slow down take your time and be safer. Your kidneys will thank you! LOL

Nope, I didn't have any pics or was able to turn around right away because I was in those same rollers but at 3500rpms. I saw them past me with one of the Talons laying on the back deck, "wrong position" and I told my partner to watch that boat, "with the college kid and his dad", hit those rollers. The first roller took them up and cleared the water and the second roller put the boat vertical. I think it was a Z521 Ranger with a Merc. on it. When they came down, he was turned back heading across in front of me. Now, I'm in the rollers and here we go! I finally got to the point I could turn around and there was another boat making it to them.

These little "Thunder Kats" need a seminar on how to run these boats. Oh, he was the only boat running wide open out there, too! If anybody know me, then you know if my big engine is on, I've got that Skeeter in a wide open mode! But just know WHEN. Hope they are fine.

when you say "rollers" do you mean wakes kicked off a big boat, or rough water from wind/bad weather this weekend?

Evidently they had zero experience on Texoma. Anyone that has ever been on that body of water knows to slow down and watch for the breakers.

Lewisville too. I've only been on Lewisville Sunday this year, but even half-mile away with the yachts I was careful, took it off plane several times. A couple were solid 4 footers, hard to see too no white caps.
