I have a Hobie Pro Angler 12 and I am tired of having to borrow my dads truck anytime I want to take the yak anywhere. Hobie's website says the bare yak weighs 111 lbs. (I am fine with carrying the seat and mirage drive in the truck ) Could my 2009 Mitsubishi Galant support such a beast. I am leaning towards Thule for the roof rack and bars.
Thank you

Go to rackwarehouse.com. There is a select guide that lets you put in your car's info, and what you want to carry and comes up with a list of what works for your car.

Yeah I put my PA12 with gear on my car with no problems, I even keep the seat on there for short trips. If you use a roof rack then I think the weight gets distributed more on the frame of the car than the roof. I went with the Yakima Whispbar. Hope that helps!
