Had a nice day on the lake on Saturday. Found a windy point up against the cane wall where there was a current moving sideways along the bank and we caught a dozen or so including a 5#. Sorry no pics. We also caught 3 big buffalo/carp that were fun and broke a few lines. I've never caught carp on CJ's crawfish bait before, lots of catfish but no carp. Maybe I haven't been fishing where there are carp? Does anyone have any experiences catching carp on CJ's.

We caught a few small whites trolling the humps near Rocky Creek park w flutter spoons. Lots of boats doing the same. We heard from the game warden that the whites have been surfacing in the late afternoon. Anyone seen whites/hybrids on the surface at Somerville recently. It was a great day, started out bad with storming but by afternoon was fine. Lots of boats on the lake. Should be a great summer!

I was out there on Saturday as well. I was targeting crappie and came up empty, but the folks that were after catfish were doing very well. I saw lots of channels and a few blues get pulled up into the boats around me.

Whites have been surfacing right at dusk this week. As for catching carp and buffalo on cjs punch, on have caught a few usually in the spring when the cats and carp are shallow. Cjs is awesome bait.
