Today I went out to Oak Point boat ramp to fish for whites or Crappie and all I caught were catfish. I just threw my minnow out there and kept catching catfish. Most were 1 to 2 pounds but I did manage a 6 pounder. So if your looking for a good spot for cats go to the Oak point boat ramp and fish on the opposite side of the ramp in that cove. $2 gets you a permit. Good luck

I was thinking about going out to Oak point tomorrow. I know its suppose to be raining so do any of you know if catfish will bite during the rain and if so what bait should I use?

Also do you guys use bobers for catfish or fish the bottom? I grew up learning that catfish feed on the bottom so no bobers but the last few weeks I have been catching them on live minnows with a bober.
