I haven't really got to crappie fish at all this year.. I was just wondering what stage their in, Pre spawn, Spawn, Post Spawn. any information will be appreciated.

I'm catching some that are still full of eggs and some that have already spawned so I guess you could say there still in the spawn stage. Depends what lake your fishing also. Catching some in 2 ft. of water and some in 12 ft. of water. Seems really mixed up this year.

I fish Lewisville. They are not in the marina yet. The water is still too cold. They need water 60 degrees or higher to really start spawning. All the rain is changing their spawning beds and keeping them in deeper water.


Is it possible to do something your whole life and still be an ameteur?

Dude, the water temp has to be above 60 right now on LL. my guess would be 64 main lake up to 68 back in the coves/creeks.
