Those big shad are really good fish smoked in the smoker..not kidding..! Keep them on ice after caught.Let them get very cold on ice and firm.Fillet them out and wash in very cold clean water. Salt and pepper the fillets and place in smoker and smoke with a good hard wood about 4 hours at low temp.  Thanks but il take your word on that. Il stick to feeding catfish with them.

 at least 19 " where do yall see 13" on there I use them hole caught one yesterday but this was remarkable biggest shad hands down the record for shad I looked it up is 4 pounds Like someone else said, where you have the shads nose is not zero. If that shad is 20 inches long your finger is 1.6 inches wide... whole new meaning to sausage fingers hugh?
