Me and my brother made the trip to Twak yesterday for the first time. Water was really stained with lots of debri. We tried the humps NW of the dam with no luck so we went to the dam (we visited with the owner of Holiday when we got there, he was real nice and had suggested we go to the dam and told us what they were biting on) we eeked out a few sandies, most under 10", and a few tiny yellows. Then we headed back to the humps and still were not marking any schools worth trying for, just a couple here and there. So we headed to the point/ humps NE of the dam and started marking some fish but they were scattered. We started trolling swim baits and roadrunners and started catching a few sandies and small hybrids. I did hook up on what had to be a massive hybrid but he got off before I got him to the boat. Then we went back to the dam and tolled up and down with rattle traps, swim baits road runners ect. They were hammering the white curly tail with chartreuse head so we both tied one on and started to fill the box with nice sandbass. Left with 18 sandbass and 1 yellow in the box. Most were caught from about 7pm - 8pm and the graph was showing lots of fish when we left but we had been out there since around 10 and had a long drive and fish to clean. Everyone we talked to was real nice and it seemed the only ones having luck were using minnows under corks. Tough day of fishing but we had a blast and will be back, and hopefully then, they will be stacked up like we always hear about there. If any of you were out there, we were in a big white bay stealth. I'd love to know if we talked to any of y'all or not.

On a funny note, neither me or my brother really have a clue what were doing but I guess it looked like we did cause we had a quite few people follow us and fish with us. I felt bad for them and wanted to tell them they were following the wrong people cause were just as lost as they were HAHA.

Anyways, can't wait to get back out there soon. Until then we will try to figure them out on our turf... Palestine bang

Forgot pics. My brother caught the smallest of the day lol

sounds about like my day except that I never got into the numbers of sandbass and didn't catch any yellows. I managed to catch one keeper sandie on a small shad crank and the rest were undersized hybrids. The weather was squirrely unitl about 10:30 and then it just flat out got still and hot and the little bite that was there died. I tried the holiday humps with no luck and mostly fished the damn but it was slow. I threw roadrunners, roostertails, sassy shad, rattletraps, etc. I finally broke out the hell bender with a pet spoon and still couldn't buy many strikes. We finally gave up when the biting flies started getting ravenous.

sounds like you had a better day than us, good job.

Hey, I am proud to have caught the smallest of the day since it was my first hybrid hahaha. We did have a blast though and can't wait to head back out there again.
