Hey guys,

I'm in the market for a new frog rod but I'm having a hard time deciding, I know I want a 7'- 7'3" heavy rod. I have been a big fan of the G-Loomis E6X rods and was thinking about getting their mag bass in a heavy action, then again there are a lot of different rods to choose from.

Any advice would be appreciated

Man its a frog rod you can see the action you don't need a high dollar rod for this just the right action, we use h2o rods for top waters baits great price on a decent rod.

My next frog rod will be a mega bass tour versatile. I like the smaller guides and that rod seems to be just about the perfect power for what I want out of a frog rod.

Just make sure you check what kind of guides they use. Or the fish of a life time may just get away.

Best value I have found is the iRod IRG754F "Fred's Magic Stick". It's the most versatile rod I own.

Less gritchin', more fishin'

I really like the Dobyns Savvy Series 735 for frogs - great value, well made and plenty or power to fight a fish out of heavy cover. I have two and love them.

I use a Falcon Lowrider 7'6" heavy action with a fast tip, $150.00,and as good a rod as you will find. Oh,and made in America

I've been a trucker for yrs so haven't been able to fish as much as i'd like , but i'm trying to learn. My son goes with me , so that is cool,he is trying to learn also, we both want to become better fisherman.

844 MBR is great for hollow bodied frogs and can pull double duty on a lot of other stuff
