Repainting some 10xds this weekend, was planning to do patterns not available in the 10xd, what do you guys have luck on fishing a bait that deep. These are my first 10xd to try, so I'm not real sure how to paint them. I do have one chartreuse blk back I'm going to leave in the factory finish. Have 5 more to repaint. Will probably do one in the spro cell mate pattern. Thanks in advance for ideas.

Brad, last year I had a guy custom paint two 10XDs for me in FireTiger. Unless the water is really clear, you probably want some bold colors. I think Parrot would be another good one. Definately the yellow black back. My man Zona said the stike king (650)Chartreuse Perch is the best color ever made by SK. JMO

Funny you said that 3 of the ones I bought are that color and I planned to strip them down and repaint shad or bluegill patterns.

That's a deal, I will wait on it and ship your custom painted swimbait back at the same time.

I have some spro fat papa ko blanks that need painted too might have to spray one of them in the Alabama shad. Thanks for the suggestion rudy, if your interested in catching some big ones on crankbaits you should come fishing with me in june. I couldn't tell you how many 6-8lb fish I was catching last summer. I can't wait for the fish to get grouped back up out deep. I looked at all my deep spots yesterday and was still a ghost town. About 3 weeks away from them being out there in numbers I think.

I will have it in the mail in a day or so. I will take the hooks off so you do the same. That way I can ship it in a padded envelope.

WOOHOO

I depends on the situation. I threw a shad pattern @ most lakes and had some success almost everywhere I threw it. Usually a Mann's 20+ or DD22. The perch @ Fork have kind of a burnt orange color to them when you see them in the shallows so I have used a Poe's Super Cedar deep diver there in a burnt orange and had success, can't get that crankbait anymore but I noticed in my BPS catalog it is available in other brands. Someone mentioned fire tiger, great when it is muddy....... I've also had success in off colored water with a fluorescent red craw, Tennessee Shad as well and Chrome Blue........
