Headed tO hubbard in the morning in search of toads. Been fishing fork pretty heavy this year and getting burned. 1 or 2 fish in 7 to 8 hours. My question- starting location.... If you we're headed out where would you start at first thing in the morning. Anybody have any info on the West Bank, red barn area? Or are the bridges doing better?

I would for sure. I always catch more fish and bigger fish on Hubbard.

Right now the marinas are full of fish. The water is rising so look for newly flooded vegetation. They're hitting pretty much everything right now. Spinnerbaits, frogs, shallow cranks, and plastics are all doing well in the marinas.

Thank you east Texas! I agree , during the summer I catch more lmb on Hubbard than on fork also. Generally smaller in size but a lot more fun than hanging 1 or 2 a day.
