What do y'all use to control depth for drift fishing?
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Drifting is most commonly used with the Santee technic or a variation of it and 3-way. Basically a pegged 2-3" cigar float holds the bait out of the mud and in the strike zone while your sinker drags the bottom.
Balloon fishing is more common when bank fishing, and allows wind/current to drift the bait much farther than most people can cast.
Suspend drifting is done virtually below the boat and a float isn't necessary.
Which style are you referring to?

At PK I'd run up above the island, with all this rain, and anchor fish the muddy water in 2-3ft before I tried drifting.
