Taking 4 kids to Coffee Mill tomorrow for some crappie fishing. Hopefully the lake isn't too murky and we can get some bites. Planning on arriving mid day and staying through midnight if needed. Would love to get these kids on some good crappie action.

Coffee Mill is a small lake with rip rap along the dam. No other rocks that I know of. There are some cat tails and a couple of decent size creeks that feed the lake. I'm thinking the rocks on the dam will be the place to focus on? What do y'all think?

Due south of the boat ramp on the south side there is a creek that runs in the lake. That is a good starting point

Thanks Bonham. I'm worried the lake will be going over the spillway and the fish will be locked up. For some reason this happens on small lakes.

The water looked like chocolate milk but we still managed 10 nice keepers and a 3lb channel cat. It was slow and the kids had a hard time with the noise level but at least we caught some keepers.
