Fished sun up to sun down on Wednesday at Lake Fork and managed to catch 22 keepers ...it was tough, tough fishing. Some thump the jig hard but most were scratching or a bite & spit that were so fast that my reaction was always late. When I did manage to hook up with a "scratcher" ...its usually a good, hard fighting fish. I'm starting to see bait fish on these stumps ...so maybe better fishing is ahead rolleyes

I had plans of going to Cypress on Thursday but with the morning rain, I decided to fish Fork for a few hrs and maybe hit Tawakoni on the way home. Fished stumps in muddy, muddy water ...by slowly lowering the jig to catch suspended fish and slowly raising or holding it still to catch deeper fish. Bites were much better than the previous day with fish thumping the jig hard. I got 12-13 within a couple of hrs and loaded up to give Twok a try.

Some pics ...

Fish hard and got one here & there but if you get one ...its a good one. Caught some fish on Tawakoni but I rather catch these cause they are big & pulled hard ...the kind that wake you up at night sweating roflmao

Nice catch Anh! You find them shallow anywhere on Fork?

Anh, if you are catching fish like that you defiantly have tricks up your sleeve. Fork is as tricky as I have ever seen it, they will push your line around so you know they are down there. The trick is getting them caught and you whack um! Not many people are catching crappie on Fork and you make it look easy.

Great job.

Caught a few in 6' ...I may have spook them when attempting to fish shallower stumps.

It was tough man ...you would catch 2-3 and go for hrs before catching them again. I've a few stumps that I usually catch fish on ...say within 2-3 seconds but when you put a jig down there and nothing bang BUT you can feel them down there, use all your tricks and maybe get one bite ...just one. If you miss it, that is it for that stump. I cleaned those fish yesterday ...I'm getting a feeling its going to be great fishing just around the corner thumb

Yes sir, you better be on your A game to get them caught.

I kept 12 Friday, threw back 5 and felt or missed 20+ easily. I think most just swish their tail at it or bump it with their sides. What ever their doing, I hope to feel the thump again soon.

Oh, it didn't rain Friday it flooded! Lake should be full by next week.

Those are some good looking fish! We cleaned 20 Last Sat but most were just barely keepers. My son likes your boat, says you need some yellow on it to go with the purple and have an LSU boat!!
