Now that I have my new kayak, I'm starting to shop around for some rod holders and tracks and the like. I know that I want to put tracks on my raptor, and it looks like the gt 90 is what I'm gonna look at, probably the 12 inch, but I might go with the 16, not sure yet. But my main question, is what rod holders should I look for? Scotty, railblaza, the zooka tube? I plan on using the rod holders for targeting big flathead and blue cats, so I want something that'll be pretty sturdy, which is my main concern using the ram ball mounts. I also may look at the bee ready rod holders and do some looking into that again. So, who has some suggestions for me?

Christian Myrick is a big fan of the bee ready rod holders for catfishing.

Bee Ready's are great! If you do a little searching, I believe Pelican posted up an overview of how to adapt the Bee Ready to work on track systems.

Does this option come with that bracket underneath it?

the tubs suck, ive had them a year and they get weaker and weaker over time

i should say ram tubes.

as for track i found it way more cost efficent to buy the longest strip you can and cut it yourself. make multiple tracks from 1.

The GT gear track is definately the way to go. 12" works for my yak too.
I like to lay a healthy bead of marine goop under It. I also put a dab on each screw before tightening It all down with A SCREWDRIVER. No leaks and strong like bull! Have landed monster bull reds, sharks, kings, cats and hooked cobia/grouper with em. I went with the metal track because it has a lower profile.
Ive had success with scottys but they arnt the most adjustable. u must keep them clean n lubed for them to adjust/ use gracefully. I will be using with the zuka tubes next time around.
BigSharkTackle.com has everything your looking for and they r local. See the link above n below thumb
Tell em zombie sentcha.

Bee readys r the easiest to pull a rod from IMO but rigging them on the yak is a challenge and expensive IMO..

I like the Zooka tubes but the Bee Readys are the best in my opinion. I suggest pay a little more and get the adjustable ones. They will set you up with the hardware to mount them on your tracking also.

I am a huge fan of gear tracks! The more the better. I have a pair of 8",12", and 16" gt90 on each of my raptors. As far as rod holders go, I have most all of them and there are pros and cons. If I am drifting or anchored every time I use the bee ready...hands down the best easiest rod holders made. If im trolling I like the flush mounts. Zooka tubes are great but unless they are facing just the right direction it can be challenging to get the rod out of them. Railblaza is great too...just a bit small imo. Its impossible to find the perfect thing to do all every time. I use the bee readys the most and on my current yak I have three double bee readys, one zooka and two flush mounts. I am happy to share pics via email or text...posting pics here is above my pay grade. Hahaha
