So I've been looking into getting a skiff for fishing the Texas coast and I've found a good deal on a little skiff. The one concern I have is it doesn't seem to be super shallow so I was wondering how shallow I would ideally want to be able to go. The only info I've found says it will float in 12 inches and run in 16. I am going to talk to the owner tomorrow and de what he says about it.

So for those of you that have skiffs what 12 inches be shallow enough for the tx coast around Galveston? Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated! It is a sea squirt 15 foot skiff. So if anyone has heard anything about these please let me know!
