I was thinking about a change of scenery from my normal Ray Roberts/Lewisville next week. Fork would be nice, but I have to stay within closer proximity to home than that. Lavon had crossed my mind, but I haven't been on that lake in 30+ years. How's it fishing right now? Any other recommendations of places for a potentially good bite in DFW lakes?

Lavon normally fishes really good this time of year. I think the biggest issue right now with a lot of places is the rising water has the fish put off a bit and also there is so much grass and brush that has grown up around the lakes that the hiding places right now are endless. Crank the rocks or throw a wacky rig, swim jig or frog in the flooded bushes. Lots of 4-7 pound fish in Lavon!
