i'm sure you guys remember "dorothy's" bait...what a creation...well i've kept looking for a red glitter that would give me the sparkle i want without looking like it was a victim from an oil rig fire. came across a red tinsel embossing powder the other day. it's so fine it's like dust. i did this one without a base coat and got a nice red sparkle ghost. there's no additional glitter in the clear coat. i'm doing one now with white base coat to see what the difference will be.

Got a nice sparkle to it....never heard of tinsel embossing powder. Does it come in multiple colors? Will it spray on with clear gloss?

i'd never heard of it either. was roaming the isles at michael's looking for stuff that might be useful for lure painting when i came across it. can't remember what other color(s) they might have. i think they had black but i bet you can google it and find more.
i covered the bait with a very thin layer of glue, let it set up until it was tacky and then covered the bait with the powder. went over it a second time and pressed the powder into the glue to be sure i had good coverage. shookofthe extra, let it dry and put a coat of devcon on it.
i don't think you could spray this stuff but it would be interesting to find out. you can mix it with the expoxy and brush it on.
