Greetings TFF! As the rain continues to fall on East Texas and Lake Fork we should expect to have a great spawn as the fish have plenty of flooded shoreline cover and fresh water! Lake Fork has been quite consistent in shallow water throwing a wide variety of baits. In stained water my favorite lures this time of year are weightless 4-5' Yamamoto Senkos fished slowly and squarebill crankbaits fished with a stop and go retrieve. In clearer water I like to throw jerkbaits like the Provoke106X and small hollow body swimbaits fished slowly through bedding areas to make the bass show themselves. In very dirty water or after a heavy rainfall focus on flipping the stumps in 2-5 ft as these fish will be holding tighter to cover. Many baits can work this time of year when the bass get active! To see my 4 of my favorite clear water search baits check out the video below. I hope this helps you to catch more bass on your next fishing trip, good luck and tight lines my friends! As always thank you for watching, and keep catching em!
