I found pro angler reels on their website but they are sold out on them. Anyone on here buy one? If they are near as good as their rods it would be a near perfect combo. Since retirement I would like to find something I like as well as my 6500 reels with bait clicker. I am tempted to try the bass pro catmaxxx reels?

They quit selling them. The manufacturer couldn't seem to work out some problems with them.

Thanks Tom, I do realize I should save awhile longer and just buy the 6500. They are fine reels. I abuse mine some by basically just applying oil about once a month. Have had no breakdowns. They do have a good amount of shad guts and slime on them. I guess it would be best to have them serviced.

I've had one for about 3 and a half years, and other than dropping some grease on it now and then it has been pretty reliable. It casts pretty well and you can hear the clicker from the next county. I haven't caught anything bigger than a 3-4 pound fish on it, but it's not a bad reel.

I bought one a couple of years ago and it does cast very well and has a loud clicker, on mine there is some grinding noise and slippage when reeling in a fish, I quit using it but my father in law has one that he bought around the same time and still works well.
