You can call BS all you want, I personally don't give a care what you think.

I had signed up for the sweepstake a while back and was then contacted by phone trying to get me to join and I told them to send me some more info on it and I would think about it.
Well Friday I got a magazine and a bill in the mail stating I owed them $125 for a Five year membership which I never agreed to.
I guess now I will have to call them to resolve this issue now.
Seems kind of crazy for them to be doing this?

I got the call about two years ago; paid the full amount for the five years and been getting my magazines ever since! A lot easier than payments!

I should be a lifetime member with all the dam renewals they send me in the mail every other month, I think I'm renewed for atleast 4 years now?

Just got a call from this number. Only thing that was said was an electronic voice saying thank you and hung up. Very weird, I've been receiving their magizine for several years now and never remember signing up with them and have never received a bill. Thought I would bring this back to life if someone elsehas been receiving the same calls.

I let them go through their entire spiel before I let them know I'm not interested, since I am a lifetime member.. I've only gotten 2 calls about 2 weeks apart.

When I worked the magazine department of our organization reported to me. The $ is really in magazine advertising and in order to attract ads you must guarantee a certain level of subscriptions/distributions. Ever cancelled a magazine and it continues to come even though you did not pay for it? Some mags cannot afford not to send it to you.
I am not saying BASS is doing any of this but sometimes the nature/pressure of the business causes people to do things they should not do.
