Recently caught a big bass (+8 lbs.) and found it had something in its gut...tail sticking out of the throat. Took long nose plier and slowly pulled it out..... it was a 6-8 inch, partially digested, mudcat. Put the bass back in the lake and watched it swim away. Never heard of bass feeding on mudcat?? Wondering what other species of rough fish bass anglers may have see a bass eat?

I've seen a Red Wing Blackbird come out of a bass. This is really weird...I've heard they will eat baby ducks...so I guess a bird is a bird. Very interesting response.

I've seen a Red Wing Blackbird come out of a bass. I witnessed a massive blow up on a black bird one time in a lilly pad field

Saw some schoolies one time with some small diving birds eating shad. One bird took a dive and got smashed as he hit the water. I'm not sure if it was big bass or stripers but that bird never came back up. Took me a minute to realize what happened.

I saw a little mud duck hen swimming across a submerged rockpile and she disappeared in a huge boil.In about 5 seconds she comes back up and flutters across the cove looking down like what the heck just happened. I went to the spot and tossed a worm in there and a double digit bass got on it but came unbuttoned on me. Now everytime I see a small duck go across the water, I watch them.

I watched a huge Bass (15+) on Amistad knock out a keeper bass, circle it like a shark and lay on her side easily engulfing it. I tried my best to snag the keeper bass with my spook to get part of the action; but just barely missed by inches. She payed no attention to that spook as she was zeroed in on the dying bass. It was quivering and going in a circle.
