I've found small turtles in bass. Saw what must have been a bass eat a small snake working it's way through some lily pads at Cypress Springs. In Mexico two of my fishing buddies found two big largemouth with Tilapia stuck in their throat. They were both released alive (without their meal though).

I Once caught a bass on an frozen anchovy just resting on the bottom for catfish.

So much for being a predator ha ha. Dang bottom feeders will eat anything.

Byron velvic had a great quote, "if bass grew to 50 lbs, jetskiers wouldn't be safe"

They have a yellow headed blackbird in California, they will CHOKE a yellow headed frog when the birds are nesting.

umm, weirdest thing i have caught them on was the breast meat of a small bird... shot bird with 22... breast out pushed on hook and wait, they ate the [censored] out of it... idk why

Saw a bass get a squirrel off a log. Then after a small wait, it put another pecan back on the log!

I think there is a reason most predators eat their fish head first. While I've been curious I'll never pull a fish OUT of a fish's throat.

Someone in the OT today posted a picture of a bass with what looked to be an adult snake in it's mouth. It was definitely a snake, I just don't know enough about them to say it was an adult or not.

People have posted videos of bass eating a business card that was stuck on the business end of a hook.

Looked like a juvenile banded water snake to me. An adult would be 2.5-3ft in length. That would be a WW bass if that snake were an adult. The snake would be much darker and its bands less visible, too.

Disclaimer- I defer all reptile indentification to Derek. You can find him in the Outer Limits otherwise known as "OT".

Fouz dropping knowledge, per usual. My snake ID is severely lacking. I, too, defer to Derek for answers on these things but I didn't read the post but once.

He is a knowledge dropping mofo. Write down what he says. And 100% on the bands of the snake.

Most mature Diamondback Water Snakes look just like/similar to Water Moccasin's. So most say I saw a Moccasin. But probably didn't. There are 4 venomous species in Texas, along with subspecies. Coral, Rattle, Moccasin, Copper. With only 4 venomous you/we should be able to ID them in 10 seconds or less. Yes, water snakes can be "aggressive" but they actually want nothing to do with you.

I've seen bass with catfish sticking out their throat. Also, a buddy of mine caught a decent sized bass in the Rio Grande and had a black bird in its throat almost all the way down. Just a few tail feathers and the feet were sticking out.
